As a SYEP [Summer Youth Employment Program] in conjunction with RECyouth, this summer I led a group of very creative high-school aged girls into becoming budding photographers. These girls spent four weeks (in the Sunset Park Recreation Center's Computer Resource Center), using Sony AX100 digital SLR cameras, learning about composition, aperatures and shutter speeds, as well as using photoshop to manipulate their images and create digital collages.
