In conjunction with Projectile Arts, Relatively Local is the creative documentary endeavors and undertakings of Nicole Jaquis and various collaborators within the communities she travels.

 

 

While consciously integrating herself within the community, Nicole develops real connections with the people she documents. After several return trips to these communities bringing gifts of photographs and video footage, her projects now focus on encouraging and empowering her subjects to become involved in the actual production process.

 

Relatively Local, as a web space, currently showcases photographs from Northern India shot in 2001 and 2004.
