media mentors
| Media Mentors are essentially multimedia teachers. Local (desi) and foreign (videsi) filmmakers, sound recordists, journalists, photographers, who attend the Kumbh Mela with the intention to enable voice to the ascetics of Juna Akhara. Volunteers participate in this project by giving up their multimedia devises and teaching an ascetic to use it, thus empowering them to tell their own side of the story. Ascetics then can participate in the process of journalism to which they have been subject for decades. |
