Currently seeking unpaid-interns to work either virtually or in NYC!
Help build this site, and plan for 2010!
Ideal candidates (have some or all of these skills):
- willing to work for free or college credit
- has own laptop (though could work around this if willing to travel to the LES)
- proficient in MS word/excell and conducting Internet searches
- proficient in Photoshop
- proficient in Final Cut Pro and Audacity (or other audio editing software) a plus!
- fluent in either Hindi, Nepali, or Gujarati a super plus!
responsibilities may include any of the following:
- researching grants and funding strategies
- researching and reaching out to various people and organizations to build network
- formatting photographs (retouching, resizing, saving for web) and uploading to server for galleries
- digitize and edit audio from miniDiscs, including converting to mp3 and uploading to server
- write detailed log notes and capture DV footage in FCP
- transcribe/ translate interviews (must know either Hindi, Nepali, or Gujarati)
- layout subtitles onto FCP timelines
- make rough edits in FCP
- export and upload multimedia content to server
