This wonderful man (as many others) often travel around the world to teach the philosophy of the Vedanta. My friend Valerieji from Asheville, NC who has lived in India for the last 5 years, is one of Gurudev's most devoted diciples. Although Swami Paramanand(well he says they are not his so let's say the organization) has 40 ashrams, 17 hospitals, 17 girls colleges in remote areas and has recently opend a university for americans and other foreigners to understand the Vedanta. Swami's ashram in Haridwar will be hosting us (i think there are around 18 coming so far)from us, and europe, and australia. Valerieji is very involved in the Kumbha Mela and she presently is having thousands of non plastic bags printed up and distributing them to the shop owners in Haridwar. The bags promote non use of disposable plastic bags and are reusable. the shop owners have agreed to distibute these bags with Hindi on one side and English on the other to promote recycling.
